Alanna Geist

My name is Alanna Geist. I have lived in Colorado my whole life and currently attend Rocky Mountain College of Art And Design with the pursuit of a degree in art education. I am married to my wonderful husband Dalton, we have 2 cats and a dog who keep us on our toes. Some of my hobbies include knitting, reading, camping, video games, gardening, dirt bike riding, and of course art.

I have had many careers in an artistic setting including painting instructor, tattoo artist, graphic designer, and managing my own knitting business. I have experimented with a lot of different art mediums but my favorites are acrylic paint, wood burning, digital design, and pen/pencil. 

My goals as a future teacher are to show how valuable art is as a skill for real-world applications and to encourage the pursuit of creativity in life. 

I am excited and eager to learn as I start my student teaching at REMS with Ms. Staci.
